Gen Alpha Families Study

Generation Alpha Families Study

CASJE, in partnership with The Jewish Education Project and ChildTrends, is supporting a study of the educational decisions of parents raising Jewish 9-14 year olds.

The study aims to:

  • Examine the attitudes and beliefs of Jewish Generation Alpha parents towards Jewish identity development broadly defined
  • Examine what forces drive decision-making about joining communities, use of resources, selecting educational environments, type of programming, etc.
  • Understand the challenges faced by Jewish families in accessing and participating in Jewish education.
  • Identify effective strategies for designing Jewish education that speaks to Generation Alpha families and resulting strategies for promoting these opportunities.

Advisory Panel

CASJE facilitates an Advisory Panel comprised of scholars with expertise in the study of contemporary American Jewry, religion, and American families. The panel provides guidance to the research team and study leadership across the research cycle.
