In this episode of "Research Encounters," a series from Prizmah, Dr. Arielle Levites, managing director of CASJE, and Rabbi Jethro Berkman, dean of Jewish education at Gann Academy in Waltham, Massachusetts, reflect upon the findings of a study into student responses to their Talmud education. They consider the possible shortcomings of Talmud curriculum and pedagogy and discuss other ways that schools might approach the teaching of Rabbinics.
See more about the study referenced in the podcast, "Students' Understanding of Rabbinics," a project supported in part by CASJE, in partnership with the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Studies in Jewish Education at Brandeis University.
